Staying at a bed and breakfast will be a memorable experience and there are things that differ from traditional hotel stay travel. In order to enjoy your stay at a bed and breakfast we have gathered some tips that may be of interest to you and will also help you to enjoy your stay and maximize your memories.

  • When making a reservation, inquire about making special meals for dietary needs.

  • The difference between a hotel and a bed and breakfast is that there isn’t a front desk staffed with someone at all times.

  • Many B & B’s are not handicap accessible. Notify the innkeeper of your special needs and request a room on the main floor.

  • If you expect to arrive at an odd hour, be sure to inform the innkeeper in advance so that someone will be there to meet you. If you are running late, phone ahead whenever possible.

  • Most B & B’s have shared bathroom facilities. If this is a problem, inquire about the availability of private bath facilities prior to making reservations.

  • Know what to expect, you may be eating side my side with a stranger. Most innkeepers will make every reasonable effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
