  • Eat during the off-hours…but don’t over eat
  • Go off-season when the Parks are less crowded
  • Go on days when the Park is open extra hours.
  • You may consider bringing a change of clothes.
  • Rent a stroller or wheelchair if you need them.
  • Call ahead to find out about any special Park events
  • Take a restroom break whenever you are close to a restroom.
  • Bring a small nap sack or fanny pack that can hold souvenirs.
  • Get your tickets ahead of time to avoid the line at the gate.
  • Find a central meeting place for everyone in case you get separated.
  • Don’t save the water rides for last or you’ll have a soggy ride home.
  • Approach any special deals with caution. There are ticket scams out there.
  • Many Parks charge for parking, so make sure to include this in your budget.
  • Cover your body with a strong sunscreen and reapply if getting wet on occasion
  • Only purchase your tickets from the Parks themselves or their authorized agents.
  • Get a list of the rides and/or a map of the Park and include everyone in the planning.
  • Wear comfortable and supportive shoes and you may want to leave an extra pair in your car.
  • If you feel like leaving for a rest and returning later get your hand stamped so you can re enter.
  • Avoid wearing jewelry or other loose items that could get caught or become uncomfortable on the rides.
  • Some parks will allow you to enter even earlier. You will not be able to get on the rides early, but you might be first in line.
  • Wear cool and comfortable clothing with a swim suit underneath because most parks have water rides or rides that indent to get you wet.
  • Eat a good breakfast before you go. You’ll need the energy, but be sure to leave time for the meal to settle before you get to the Park.
